Easter Seals Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain LPN in Great Falls, Montana
Assists in coordination of in-home support services to meet the needs of Hospice patients and their families. Receives and handles daily and after-hours calls (night, weekend, and holidays) from hospice patients and their families. Duties include:
Performs after-hours introductory visits and admissions.
Applies diagnostic and crisis intervention skills.
Coordinates resources available to meet patient and families’ needs.
Performs prescribed medical treatment, including pain management and symptom control, under direction of primary physician.
Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Applicant must pass background and DMV check.
Must have the ability to respond calmly and effectively in stressful situations; assess patient needs; reassess continuing patient needs; communicate effectively with other health care providers.
Strong, effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
3-5 years experience working with elderly or terminally ill preferred.
Licensed in the State of Montana, good standing.
Must have knowledge of the application of diagnostic and crisis intervention skills.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Current CPR certification.
