The Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician shall perform maintenance, repair and/or replacement of the integrated IDS system equipment/software, ancillary equipment, and supporting infrastructure; technical support; service call/help desk support; necessary sparing to support ICS activity; preventive maintenance inspections; replacement of obsolete equipment/technical refresh; configuration management, quality assurance and other sustainment and maintenance services required.
Must have troubleshooting and repair experience in Electronic Security Systems (ESS). Experience with installation of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS) and Visitor Control Center Systems (VCCS).
Preferred hands on experience with one or more of the following Electronic Security Systems (ESS): Will-Burt Linx, Honeywell Vindicator, Software House, or ICIDS.
Must be able to read electronic schematic drawings and system diagram provided by manufacturers.
Work execution having the ability to provide a full range of duties including but not limited to planning, organizing, scheduling, directing, reporting, record keeping and quality control.
Have strong written and verbal skills in order to effectively communicate with both the customer and maintenance managers.
Work independently, set and meet goals and deadlines, and manage customer relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with exceptional attention to detail.
Must be able to gain access onto military installations and/or federal buildings (Favorable background check (NAC) required).
Technician maybe required to obtain/and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma, College coursework or technical training. Certifications Preferred in LINX Systems. Minimum of three years installing, troubleshooting and repair experience in Electronic Security Systems.
